Hello there! My name is Aiden, and I am 10 years old. I absolutely love bees, and I have my very own busy, buzzing apiary. This website is all about my adventures with bees, the amazing things I’ve learned about them, and how we can protect these incredible little creatures.

What Is Aiden Apiary?

Aiden Apiary is my small bee sanctuary where I take care of my buzzing friends. I have a few hives, and I love watching the bees work hard to make honey, pollinate flowers, and keep nature thriving!

About Me

I live in Bellevue, WA, with my family. I got interested in bees after getting stung by a bee. Since then, I’ve been learning everything I can about these fascinating insects. I even have my own beekeeper suit, and I love spending time near my hives.

Why Bees Are Amazing:

Did you know that bees are some of the most important creatures on Earth? Here are some cool facts I’ve learned:

• Bees pollinate about one-third of the food we eat!
• Honeybees have five eyes and can see ultraviolet light.
• A worker bee can only make about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in her entire life!
• The queen bee is the boss of the hive, and she can lay up to 2,000 eggs a day.

How You Can Help Bees

Let’s Work Together to Save the Bees:

Bees need our help! Here are some simple things you can do to make the world a better place for bees:

• Plant flowers in your garden or on your balcony for bees to visit.
• Don’t use harmful pesticides or chemicals around your plants.
• Set out a shallow dish of water with small stones for bees to drink from.
• Support local beekeepers by buying their honey.

Honey and Bee Sales

Several times a year, we collect enough honey to sell.  It’s mostly maple honey in the spring, blackberry honey in the summer, and knotweed honey in the fall.  Did you know that different flowers produce honey that looks and tastes differently?
